8 years special education, substituting, at Good Shepherd - 3 years 4 year old preschool and 8 years transitional K

Married for 27 years to my high school sweetheart Bob. 2 girls Kathy 19 - sophomore at University of Mary Hardin Baylor and Sarah  16 Junior at KHS.  We have a dog 2 cats and a part time guinea pig.  I grew up in Ohio and taught there for 3 years before moving to Dallas.  I have my undergrad in special education from Miami University in Ohio and my masters in Reading from Baldwin Wallace College that is also in Ohio.  I taught in Dallas for 5 years and then we started our family and I took some time off.

I love colors - especially blue and yellow.  I like spring flowers and try to keep some sort of flowers always in our house.  I am interested in needlework and am failing terribly at trying to needlepoint covers for our dining room chairs.  I have lots of yarn and money invested and have not completed one yet!  I also love to read.  I was in a mother daughter book club when my children were younger.  We read juvenile literature and had some great discussions.

I love to teach.  I consider my self so lucky to be working with this age group.  Their joy at discovering and learning is amazing.  This is absolutely the best job I have ever had!
